“I recreate the emotions that people want to feel through music”
That’s how Tory Bryant, “DJ AudiTory”, describes his motto as a DJ – a purveyor and influencer of music. Never afraid to incorporate new music into his already expansive catalogue, his emotive selections reflect a passion for his craft, and his knack for setting the tone of any type of event, at any given moment.
Having grown up on his parent’s passion for the soulful sounds of Mary J. Blige, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Teddy Pendergrass, Stevie Wonder, Kirk Franklin, and the choirs of the COGIC church in which he was raised, Tory was also heavily influenced by the 90’s music culture. In addition, the numerous symphonic compositions performed during his formative high school years and role of high school band drum major, allowed him to gain an understanding of the responsibilities of being a leader and how effective leadership can influence a community of people. These influences have shaped a versatile DJ with quite an eclectic taste in music. Today, this translates into sets compiled of music that inspires him – ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, various rhythmic styles, and occasional vocal hooks--all on top of a pronounced house beat.
